Community Guidelines

Effective: 27 October 2026

FocusLatch Friends is a private, optional space where accepted friends see each other’s focus, share Highlights, and compare points in the weekly League. Treat every member as a person, protect their privacy, and keep shared motivation safe. These rules apply to handles, display names, bios, profile photos, Highlights, comments, reactions, and invitations.

Do not share or encourage

Profile photos

Use a photo you have the right to share. Profile photos must not contain nudity, sexual exploitation, graphic violence, hateful symbols used to promote hate, or another person's private information. A reported photo may be replaced with initials immediately while the private original is restricted for safety handling.

Report and block

Use the action menu on the profile, profile photo, Highlight, or comment to submit a report. Reports are private; the reported member is not shown who reported them. Blocking immediately restricts the other account from finding or interacting with you across Friends features. If an in-app route is unavailable, use the Notice, Action and Appeals contact and identify the exact content.

How enforcement works

FocusLatch may take no action, restore content after a mistaken report, make content unavailable during review, remove content that breaks these rules, limit visibility, or restrict Friends access for serious or repeated abuse. Local private focus history remains separate from Friends moderation. Reports are triaged by risk, and moderation actions are recorded for accountability. During the beta, no response time is guaranteed.

Where required, the affected member receives the measure, its scope, the rule/legal basis, whether automation contributed, and how to appeal. Where an appeal is available under the operated procedure, it is assigned to a different person where practical. A report does not guarantee removal, and repeated bad-faith notices may be restricted.

Immediate danger and illegal content

Do not rely on FocusLatch for emergencies. Contact local emergency services for immediate danger. Suspected child sexual exploitation should be reported through the in-app route and to the competent authority in your country. FocusLatch may preserve and disclose narrowly necessary evidence where legally required.

Safety concern or appeal

Email support@focuslatch.app. Include only the information needed to locate and understand the content, and state whether this is a new notice or an appeal. Never email passwords, raw invitation tokens, or unrelated private records.
